The Safeguarding Officer shall:

  • Be responsible for ensuring that the Club meets Safeguarding standards.  This person needs to read up on all aspects of Child Welfare, as dictated by EN, and then ensure that the Club implements the correct policies. 

  • Be accessible to parents, coaches and children as a point of contact.   

  • Sit on the Executive Committee

  • Prepare a written report for the AGM.

  • Ensure that all club members are aware of the role of the Safeguarding Officer and know how to contact them for advice and support.

  • Ensure that the EN Responding and Reporting Concerns flow chart is followed for a referral.

  • Ensure that any referral is confirmed in writing using the EN Safeguarding and Protecting Children Report Form.
